Today, my man-boss Jody was back in the office...so I've been terribly busy helping him. I have a lot of stuff I need to do but since I got here at 8:45 this morning, I can leave at 4:45...which translates into 4:30 when you consider that I have to go to the bank and make our daily deposits.
Then my plate is still full when I leave here:
1)Go see Justin at his work for a few minutes.
2)Tanning.
3)Go home, clean my room.
4)Laundry.
5)Wash bed linens.
6)Clean out and reorganize my closet.
7)Go to sleep :)
Obviously, Thursday nights are reserved for cleaning and assorted chores.
I'm really getting into psychoneuroendocrinology, which is a fancy way to say "the way hormones affect every facet of your personality." I find it way too interesting. I'm reading this book called 28 Days, which is the entire cycle of estrogen, testosterone and progestrine for a woman. Interesting fact: it takes women 28 to 35 days to go through this cycle, while men go through the same cycle in 24 hours. WOW!
I was kind of upset today because Justin and I didn't get to eat lunch together :(
We try to eat lunch together at least once a week, since we work less than a mile from each other, and only 15 minutes from his house. His dad is an evangelist and he came home for a few days today, so Justin's parents wanted him to spend some time with them before he had work this afternoon. Understandable. We've both been too tied down to work to eat together this week, and he works all day tomorrow, so we'll have to make up for it next week.

Er...
I'm so bored.
Ugh.
Oh, yesterday I called Ashland City court to see where I was supposed to bring my money for traffic school and the lady said that it was supposed to be there on Monday...great...
So she rescheduled it for me and I get to keep my money (until I have traffic school again).
My boss is helping some clients move today, and my other boss is at lunch. I'm all alone in my office. I'm hungry and I'm cold. And bored.
Restaurant Review No. 1--J. Alexander's: Cool Springs
-The very best mac and cheese in the world. It's served in a small, souffle type bowl with shells as the noodle instead of the normal elbow macaroni. Swiss and Parmesan cheeses, baked with a bread-crumb crust on top. Warning: consuming this macaroni will possibly make you want to slap your mother its so good. You think I'm joking...
-Cypress salad is a great addition to any meal.
-The most tender chicken-tenders. They melt in your mouth! Try the house barbecue and honey mustard.
-For a casual but tasty eat for two, try the spinach queso and Mr. Jack's chicken finger appetizers. A ton of food for about $20. (I always trade the fries for mac n cheese, but use your discretion as the fries are shoestrings, and if you don't get them fresh, you'll regret getting them to begin with.) You will be filled to the brim with goodness. Warning: the spinach queso is addictive and you may not be able to stop eating it!
Overall: 5 of 5 stars.
1:44 PM
My lady-boss just came back from lunch and wants me to go get they're daughter at school...
She gave me the keys to her Audi TT (!) and her credit card for our lunch (!).
I love working for rich and generous people!

Busy-ness.
So my post yesterday about not being too busy has definetly caught up with me. This morning has been a blurrrr....
Yesterday afternoon we cleaned Jason and Peyton's new house, and let me tell you...We had our work cut out for us. I think the people who sold them the house left kind of bitter, because the house hadn't been touched with some Mr. Clean in what looked like since it was built. I'll admit that I'm a clean freak about a lot of things, but this house was beyond my wildest. Gag me. We came, we cleaned, we conquered...to an extent :) We still have some work to do, but we're making progress.
My friend Lauren, who goes to Gateway College of Evangelism in STL will be in Ripley, TN this Sunday for her chorale tour. My friend Randy and I were planning on going but we have a special service this Sunday at my church, where two other churches will be there...and Randy will be a musician...so obvi. we can't go see Lauren.
I just got back to my office from eating lunch with Mimi (Justin's mom) at Buca de Beppo's. Loverly lady, loverly din-din. Its in Cool Springs right off Galeria Blvd. You should check it out. And go to the bathroom when you're there--you'll be pleasantly surprised and delighted :)
More work is beckoning...traffic school tonight :(

Monday, Monday...
Good Afternoon!
First off, I'm sincerly sorry for everyone who doesn't live in Nashville...as the weather is PERFECTO right now. Beautiful, 70ish, light breeze. We have it made!
Too bad I'm stuck in my office...
Although I do have a loverly view of the Lexus dealership...which serves as a daily reminder for me to work and study hard :)
My day started off bright and early at 6 AM: a pair of long PJ pants, a Vanderbilt hoodie, and a fresh pair of contacts later and I was out on the farm feeding the horses. I got dressed and ready for work and got here at 8:30ish this morning. One of the best parts of my job is I can get here anytime I want, and leave anytime I want. I have no set hours. It rocks. All you people who have corporate jobs: be jealous.
Most Monday's for us are hectic, crazy, drama-filled days that leaves everyone in a foul mood until at least Wednesday. But for whatever reason, today has been really calm. I mean really calm--no tears or door slams. Jody (my boss) and Trish (Jody's wifey) ate some bad sushi last night, so they both left for their respective homes a little while ago. They're seperated, but really good friends...so they still have our businesses together. I don't ask questions.
So here I am...all by my lonesome. And I have this wonderful (!) idea. I'm going to blog. I had a blog last summer, but it got boring, because my life was kind of boring then. Now I think I have enough going on to fill a few books lol.
For a few months now, I've wanted to start journaling again. I think this will help satisfy that desire. Another thing I've found myself thinking about is the Nashville Scene. It's a local magazine that has play reviews, restaurant reviews, and general happenings around our city. The restaurant reviews draw me in like a moth to a flame. I would love to write reviews on good eats, so this will more than likely turn into my outlet for that...hence the name "Sticky Rice."
This afternoon I'm going to Jason and Peyton's (my boyfriend's brother and sister-in-law's) new house in Bellevue to help clean. I think they're going to start moving in pretty soon. Peyton is preggers and we're all very excited about the new baby. She and Jason will find out if its a boy or girl in one month from today! We all think it's going to be a boy...that's what she and Jason want too.
Moving seems to be the popular thing to do between my family and Justin's (me boyfriend's) family. Jeremy (Justin's other brother) and his buddies just bought a house near downtown, Jason and Peyton have their new house, Mimi and Poppi (Justin's parents) bought their house on Saturday, and my parents are building our new house this summer. We're all moving!
I hope your day hasn't been too dramatical :)
Tune in tomorrow for my second (maybe) installment!
